Charles Cox; Broker with his new
specialty was raised in Santa Cruz California. He worked with his
father in the cabinet, construction and property development business for many
years before venturing into his own business. He moved to San Diego County
in 1982 joining Dennis Connor's successful America's Cup team in 1985
culminating in winning the Cup in 1987 in Australia.
Upon returning from Australia he
entered the yacht brokerage business in San Diego working on Shelter Island.
Charles’ ambition led him to Ft. Lauderdale Florida to further his yacht
brokerage career. After selling multi-million dollar yachts; some over
150’ in length, he added jet aircraft brokerage for his exclusive clientele and
finally real estate acquisitions to his areas of expertise.
His indoctrination into expensive assets and their acquisitions led him through
challenging work in international business affairs, corporate planning analysis
& business development.
Charles met Kim in Colorado, who was from his home town of Santa Cruz.
They married and
returned to Santa Cruz. Charles decided to approach the real estate
industry different than anyone else in Santa Cruz County. What he enjoyed most
was working with and helping real estate buyers and realizing most were not
obtaining true exclusive representation, he joined both the National Association
of Exclusive Buyers Agents, the California Association of Exclusive Buyers
agents and Coastal Bay Properties was born.
After a few years of developing
Coastal Bay Properties' web site as a prominent source for Charles' clients, he
also started a web design and marketing company called
2cSystems,
offering his expertise in Marketing and Search Engine Optimization to other
companies.
Having also been helping his
clients with financing, he has started another company that provided financing
for large projects both Domestically and Internationally called Transnational
West
as an associate of Trans National Management, Inc. in Florida.
Currently Charles is
specializing in commercial real estate financing.
When he isn't working, you can
find Charles either competing in SCCA Solo II
events (see: www.miata-power.com ) or
sailing with his friends on San Diego Bay.
